Actis HControl
Applications and benefits:
Use in new-build and refurbishment projects.
- Installation against the internal side of the traditional thick insulation, behind the internal fi nish, in roofs, walls, ceilings and floors.
- To benefi t from the winter comfort provided by the refl ective surface of the vapour control layer (VCL), it is recommended to include an air gap of 20mm between the VCL and the internal fi nish.
- Can be used in conjunction with other ACTIS products.
- In compliance with BS5250 – Code of Practice for Control of Condensation in Buildings.

Lamatherm Cavity Barrier
Rainscreen cladding systems typically incorporate a minimum 25mm(1) continuous ventilated air space. The inclusion of this cavity ensures that any rain penetration can drain freely within the façade construction. To accommodate this design feature, together with the essential but conflicting requirement to install cavity fire barriers, Lamatherm have developed a purpose-made solution.
The Lamatherm CW-RS system includes products for both horizontal and vertical situations: CW-RSH and CW-RSV.

Moy Isover Calibel Board

Calibel is an insulating material made up of a thick base of glasswool assuring excellent thermal, acoustic and mechanical insulation, onto which is stuck a plaster slab.
Calibel is designed to acoustically insulate party wall constructions for both residential and commercial buildings.
Very quickly installed by adhesion to walls, it is equally possible to apply using battens. Furthermore, Calibel adapts to all kinds of applications by just modifying the plaster slab
In the home, there are three different types of noise, air bourne (TV, Hi-Fi), impact noise (footsteps) and appliance noise (boilers, washing machines). The level of soundproofing (and therefore comfort) of an area depends directly on its insulation from direct and indirect noise transmission. Calibel effectively combats noise and is recommended for insulating walls between dwellings, staircases and lift shafts as well as facade walls.
Acoustic Performance:
Two techniques exist for sound insulation; the application of the law of mass whereby performance is a function of surface mass and the use of mass-spring-mass which provides comparable results with approximately five times lighter construction.
The best results are obtained with Calibel, because glass wool is sufficiently flexible to be an excellent spring and also rigid enough to assume good mechanical holding capabilities.
